It was a privilege to start this extraordinary series of live programs in our celebration of the “All About That Place” series organized by the Society of Genealogists, the Society for One-Place Studies, the British Association for Local History, and Genealogy Stories and sponsored by dozens of companies and organizations.
We’ve presented this program live to introduce communities on this Pacific side of the planet to wonderful history projects focused on one place. We love the concept of exploring places—and migrations between places—as a way of studying and telling stories about family history.
Today’s program featured two speakers who’ve generously donated their time and expertise to this effort:
Diane Grant of Diggy’s Diaspora1
Annette Burke Lyttle, the Heritage Detective
