Select Projectkin Event Recordings Now Available in Podcasting Apps
You can now listen to Kathy's Corner, Emma Explores, and our Project Recipe events while on the road, in the garden, or at the gym through your favorite podcasting app. Follow links to resources.

Since launching the
on Substack nearly 18 months ago, I’ve evolved my strategy for access to our programs. Initially, they were for subscribers only, but I’ve realized that these free programs are our best calling cards to introduce the genealogy community to Projectkin. From the start, the goal for programs like Kathy’s Corner, Emma Explores, and Project Recipes has been to encourage families to tell their stories. Modest moments in daily life can be revealing to our descendants when viewed in the context of history. Consider the diaries, documents, and old photographs we’ve inherited from our ancestors.
As Projectkin, we’re here to nudge, cajole, and support each other in capturing, preserving, and maybe even sharing your story in any way that makes sense for you — or for the story.
Starting this week, we’re now making our most popular series, Kathy’s Corner, Emma Explores, and Project Recipes available on podcasting apps. For each program, you’ll now see podcast app buttons as an option1. I’ve started with just four2 podcasting services.
For ongoing discussions, links to resources, recordings, and recipes, be sure to come back to the Projectkin pages for each of these program series pages with easy-to-remember links:
Kathy’s Corner: Projectkin.org/kathys-corner
Emma Explores: Projectkin.org/emma-explores
Project Recipes: Projectkin.org/recipes
From each Substack video post, you’ll find the valuable resources and materials referenced in the program as well as linked comments from our members.
This is a work in progress. Configuring podcasting tools isn’t difficult, but it takes some patience and focus. I wanted to start with these most popular of our programs to see what you think. Please share your thoughts in the comments or drop me a direct message.
If you like this approach, I’ll be happy to expand access across our program catalog.
If there’s another service you prefer, you can also configure it using the listed public RSS feed. Reach out if you’re having any trouble or want to campaign for more services or programs.
Updated this post after initial release to include Pocketcasts.com. You can also use the public RSS feed accessible on any program page to access the podcast feed as well.
All program recordings and select clips as Shorts can also be found on our channel at YouTube.com/@Projectkin.
What a fabulous way to expand the genealogy and family history community here on Substack and elsewhere! Way to go, @Barbara!
THANKS for this creative repurposing of genealogy content - meeting people using the device/method of choice. I missed out on the live events.
