Kathy's Corner » Your Sherpa Over Mt. Inertia
Faced with a mound of photographs, documents, and other family history artifacts, it's easy to become overwhelmed. Let Kathy Stone be your personal guide for you through it.
One of our most popular events, “Kathy’s Corner,” has become a cornerstone of our community. Kathy Stone a semi-retired former corporate trainer and photo organizer shares her insights each month on the challenges of digitizing a collection of inherited family photos and artifacts.
Kathy brings to this challenge a unique perspective. After decades as a professional photo organizer for the legendary families of the Canadian Rockies, she’s now turning her gaze to her own collection.
The program includes a special mix of teaching, coaching, and gentle accountability to take you through the flow of her 8 Steps to Take You from Tubs of Photos to Tales of Yore. During 2023, each session builds on the previous so the whole series is available to members to view as recordings. In 2024, a new program is envisioned based on feedback from members.
Has a month gone by already? Time flies - join me tomorrow February 22 at 3pm PST/4PM MST/6PM EST for the next edition of Kathy's Corner - on the eve of Roots Tech, I thought we might tell some stories and talk about the importance of stories, and do a little practical work on telling a story, just to see how easy it is! Think about your questions, and grab an object that has meaning to you and a story to tell - bring it along and share the story. Hope to see you on February 22, 2024 . Join me and kick off your New Year getting your photos and “stuff” organized, digitized and in projects you can share. I will share what I accomplished in 2023, and a glimpse of the projects I have set for 2024. (and hear from Barbara Tien on her accomplishments and plans) Bring your accomplishments (size doesn’t matter) and share with us. How can I help you map out your pathway for 2024? This will be an interactive session, so bring your questions, thoughts and ideas. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again on January 25, 2024. Click on the big button above for free tickets.
