Great talk. I've also used My Heritage photo age estimator. It's pretty good, but on some it doesn't give an estimate. Kathy, You had me digging out my photos and looking closer. I found one I thought was my grandmother but looking again and researching the photographer, it has to be her mother. She's so beautiful - she looks just like my oldest sister! I also loved the discussion about all the different films. It took me back in time as I had a lot of different cameras over the years. Thanks!

To still own these timepieces is super fantastic. It brings up the question in my mind as to why I never kept my special pieces. My old girlfriend when I broke up she kept every single piece of my photos and school books and more would not give the up. She was to good of an attorney to go after. Wonderful , Ollie

Aw so sorry. I am fortunate that my Mom and a couple Aunts were diligent about keeping family photos. And a bit of a secret- some were purchased in thrift stores because I love the art in decorative borders and photographer logos. Don't tell my decluttering friends. 🤫

Thank you @kathystone! You had so many great tips for dating photographs and finding locations. I’ve looked at the photo with the massive dog many times before, but I never really noticed the decorative border until you explained their significance in your presentation today. I’ve been flipping over photos and checking out the Kodak logo as well—I never would have thought to do this!
