Projectkin posts, events, and programs remain free but I've added an optional paid "Patron" tier for subscriptions. Contributions will support the community even as programming remains free.
Projectkin provides a uniquely fun and interesting space for those of us in the family history "sandbox" to learn and play together while inspiring each other. Thank you for all you've done to create this community!
Blush... You're too kind. You've been here since Projectkin was an idea hatched in the nest of Ponga. 🥰
I'm charmed by that "sandbox" metaphor. As you might have guessed, I spent a fair amount of my childhood building castles. Would you hand me that crenellation mold? I am working on the parapet for this tower.... 😉
Thank-you Barbara for all your help and encouragement since I met you and Kathy Stone in the Ponga days. It opened a whole new world for me. I am not a writer but reading articles on Substack is rewarding.
That's what it's all about, Linda. Substack is full of so many incredibly gifted writers that it almost feels like a guilty pleasure to read them.
And yet every day I'm reminded of the rest of us, the ordinary people who don't quite feel worthy of writing these incredible narratives. I loved your poster, for example, precisely because it conveyed stories, family, and connection in entirely different ways.
Aw, thank you. More than anything, I want to be able to dial down the noise of managing a platform so I can focus on creativity. Sure, I want to have room to be creative, but I'm so inspired by all of you. 🥰
And surprise... we welcomed a bunch of new subscribers today. I'm still a little mystified by how they calculate numbers now, but I can feel the dynamism. It's a step in the right direction, certainly.
Congratulations! I see this as the next step. With your guidance we have built a great community here with a broad selection of education, tools and inspiration for all things needed to tell our stories. As they say in the theater Bravo!!
Thank you so much. I was 👇 as I said, fretting over a visual metaphor for the idea. Then we went to see a movie at the Grand Lake Theater. Bingo. There it was.
Well, I hope so. It's really just about growing up and taking the training wheels off. There are so many people who've invested their time and talent into building this community, I want to find ways to make it sustainable for the long run. I know now this is more than just a crazy idea of time. (I have a few of those... 🤔) lol.
Thank you, Paul, for your ongoing support, not just for me, but for all you've done to help build and support this growing family history and genealogy community on Substack.

So glad to see you doing this. Onward!
Blush. Thanks for the support.

I'm so glad you're here, too.
This makes sense as the next step for this wonderful community that you have created. We will benefit even more from you creativity.

Given where Projectkin is in its development and the benefits to it of doing this, it all makes absolute sense to do this.

Mind blown. In a great way! 👏🏻
🥹 Thank you. I fretted over this for days.
Interesting developments
No need to say thanks Barbara it’s a team effort without all the players we don’t have a team!
Exactly right. 🥰
