What an interesting story you have chosen to share with Projectkin. All the time you have given to honour your father plus other Veterans shows where real humanity lives.
Although I have never served, I honor those that do. I see every veteran an extension of my father's service. I co-founded a nonprofit called the "Chinese American GI Project". If you enjoy reading service stories of Chinese American GI's, and have a Facebook account, you can learn more by going here .... https://www.facebook.com/groups/chineseamericangiproject
Hi, Ron, good work this. Tom “Shane” Shoener. Shown her, a photo of me a few years back 😉 at Torii Station, White Beach behind me. If the upload works.
Ron, I had to make a substack account so I could send a note about how wonderful this story was. Thank you for sharing the story of your father's trip and for his service to the country.
Thank you for making the effort, Book bug. Authentication is annoying, but authenticity is invaluable. I hope you'll linger to explore more of the stories here in the Projectkin.org/members-corner. We're honored to have Ron here as a regular now in addition to his work at the Chinese American GI Project, hosted at ChiAmGI.Substack.com 😉
Hi, Ron, I’m the new member to the GI Project. I have migrated to a new service provider and my Substack account is acting up. I am looking forward to August 13th. Tom “Shane” Shoener
