An excellent explanation of the conflicting emotions that happen when people are displaced. It is wonderful your grandparents had such a long, happy life together.

Thank you. Yes, I can't begin to imagine all the thoughts, feelings, and emotions one must experience in these types of situations. Like most couples, things were far from perfect, but I'm humbled by their perseverance and ability to forge a long path together.

Stacey, My aunt lived to be just shy of 102. During her last 5 or so years of her life I saw her weekly if not more and I asked her questions but wish I would have asked so many more.
