I'm in but like many others, there are so many migration stories for us Down Under. Some as recent as one generation ago, while others are 3 or 4 generations back. Some forced because they tried to beat the system. So many stories.
Well, that’s it, isn’t it, Jenny? For so many of us in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the distances traveled in these migrations made their significance undeniable. And, of course, that’s just in this relatively small English-speaking community of ours.
I've signed up and as a migrant to Berlin I'm super interested. But I have so many paths in my family, I really don't know what to focus on. Switzerland to England, England to India and back again, and all the ancestors that went to New Zealand, Australia, the US, Kenya. I guess I could just add my stories to various paths?
That’s actually a great point! There’s no reason you can’t add your stories to various paths. In a sense, each path defines an interest group. Come to think of it, it’s a little like an academic conference when everyone breaks out into “birds of a feather” gatherings. 🤭
