I used a program to make photo albums. Fortunately, my husband was a programmer, and he warned me that programs become obsolete and had me save all the photos as tiff or jpeg files. Sure enough, eventually, I couldn't get the program to run, but it didn't matter. I had access to all the photos. They are organized, and labeled with the information I would have written on the back.
