I completely understand how it can be scary to start "digging" into your family history...the drama in this story proves it. But I believe knowing is better in the end. Even if the search unearths difficult pieces of the puzzle. Wonderful conversation!!!
So glad I caught this chat. What an intriguing interview with Shell! What she confirmed to me is that secrets are heavy and to heal and be free one must peel back the deeper layers of pain and confront them. Only then can true self-discovery begin. Shell has created a path for others to begin their journey.
Thank you @Barbara at Project Kin and @Shell Norman. This was a great conversation and it was lovely to see you talk 'on screen' about your book, Shell. I confess I have yet to read it but I do feel like it is something I really must do soon.
Another great talk, Barbara, and my first time to hear lovely Shell speak about her book, what a deep conversation and so much to think about as we all have such considerations to make when we write. The voice of the author means so very much, to hear her live was a joy. Thank you for putting this together and thank you Shell, for sharing yourself with the world.

Wonderfully candid talk! Thank you Shall and Barbara!
Great to catch this today. I agree that writing helps with the process of understanding what happened in your past.
Thank you so much for coming!
Thank you! ☺️
